Following the official Middle East premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ hotly anticipated Dune: Part Two, filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, stars Josh Brolin and Dave Bautista and producer Tanya Lapointe were spotted next to a giant sandworm in Abu Dhabi’s iconic desert dunes.

The worms grow to be massive in size and are attracted to the footfalls of those who walk across the sand dunes of Arrakis, and to the vibrations of the machines, such as the Spice Harvesters, disturbing the surface. Scenes from Dune: Part Two were captured at just under 20 locations across the Liwa desert during the winter 2022 and a team of 300 local, 250 international crew and 500 extras were used during the 27-day shoot.
